Seeing the ban France has put on wearing buqras frustrates me.  Not only because I am Muslim and I feel that we are being discriminated but also because there is no logical reason of banning something like the burqa.  The burqa in many ways is significant for a female in an Islamic society, and is something that all women are required to wear, though it does not directly state it in the Quran, in many hadith of the prophet Mohammed regarding the Hijab he stated how a women should be dressed.   The French government is totally wrong in what it is doing by trying to make people lose their connection with their religion by not letting them publicly dress in veils. The only thing I don t understand is if a lady covers up in public why is it a bad thing?  It is not only protecting herself from other men, but she is also making herself less attractive by not wearing tight jeans, and tight clothing where other men will feel attracted to her by.  Women who cover up their bodies properly also have a less chance of getting harassed, molested, and even raped.  Then why is a country like France who won t suffer if some of their women cover up a little bit more banning other females from covering up so they can protect themselves.  Women should have the right to dress as they want in a country like France, if a lady does not want to wear a burqa or niqaab she doesn t have to then why can t she have the right to wear it if she wants to.  Also to say that women are being forced to wear this is totally incorrect, most of the women in the Islamic culture excluding some exceptions have the right to make the decision if they want to wear a hijab, or wear a burqa, and niqab.  A women who usually wears a burqa or niqaab is protecting herself from being involved in any zina (adultery), or is married and does not want any other man except her husband to have the right to see her which is undoubtedly correct.France which has a population of 64 million in which 5 to 10 percent are Muslims should understand the position of Muslims in the country and should respect it.  Other European countries such as Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Austria now have also started to consider bans or have made laws which are prohibiting the Niqaab and Burqa in certain areas.  I strongly believe there is no need for any of these countries to put on bans restricting people from following their religious beliefs.  The government of France is totally incorrect in how it is handling this situation every citizen should have the right to dress as they wish.
